Alfacom has released version 1.0.6 of the Lotus SmartSuite to Microsoft Office Document Converter Portal. The latest version fixed several bugs and expands the usability of the system.

Product Description
The Document Converter Portal is a self-service Portal that makes it easy to get high quality conversion of Lotus SmartSuite documents to Microsoft Office documents. The quality of the conversion is significantly better than Lotus SmartSuite "Save As" function. It specifically converts the following documents:

• Lotus 1-2-3 documents to Microsoft Excel documents
• Lotus Freelance Graphics documents to Microsoft PowerPoint documents
• Lotus WordPro documents to Microsoft Word documents

The Portal provide users with an account where they can upload their Lotus SmartSuite documents. The Portal will then use the internal converter engine to convert the Lotus SmartSuite documents to their corresponding Microsoft Office documents. Once converted, the Portal will notify the user via email that the document is ready.

Note: The Document Converter Portal only converts document text and layout. Application and macro code will not be converted. Lotus 1-2-3 formulae may not convert properly as well. For the conversion of formulae, application and macro code, please contact our consultants.
